About Lumbini Yatra
Our book club is committed to fostering a deeper understanding of the Buddha’s birthplace through the study and discussion of a wide range of literary works. We believe that literature is a potent tool for delving into the intricacies of Buddhist philosophy, as well as for exchanging insights and experiences with others.
Each book will be discussed over 4 consecutive Saturday meetings, with the aim being to cover 4 books in a year. Our discussions are facilitated by museum team members Dominic Chua & Sushan Bhattarai, who bring their own unique perspectives to the conversation. The sessions will also bring in authors to share their insight and engage in a conversation with participants.
Our book club is open to anyone with an interest in Buddhist literature and a willingness to engage in thoughtful and respectful discussion. We welcome both beginners and experienced practitioners, and we strive to create a supportive and inclusive community where all members can learn, grow, and connect with others who share their interests.
